The 2018 Standard Bank Top Women Awards held on Thursday, 23 August 2018, at Emperors Palace in Ekurhuleni reaffirmed the power and prowess of women in business. During the month of August which is a Women’s Month, Aberdare Cables reiterated its commitment to advocate for women empowerment and development though sponsoring a Standard Bank Top Women Infrastructure Award category.

Our Group Manager: Corporate Affairs and Stakeholder Relationship, Mr Proffesor Ndawonde handing over awards and certificate to Ms Marianka Victor, Managing Director at Finlay and to Ms Rhulani Matshidza, Managing Director: Energy at Bigen Group, at the awards ceremony.

As an agent for social change and economic transformation, Aberdare Cables will continue to encourage women empowerment in all its business operations. We further call on the private public sector institutions to open up opportunities for women to participate actively and meaningfully in decision making structures particularly in the men dominated sectors such as energy, construction and building, mining, agriculture, engineering and others.

Aberdare Cables congratulate all the winners and finalists of the 2018 Standard Bank Top Women Awards. Together let’s unite and empower women and youth to address the imbalances of the past to build an equal and prosperous South Africa.
