Aberdare Cable Football Club will travel to the United Kingdom in March 2020 to watch the English Premier League and EUFA Champions’ League champions, Liverpool FC taking on Crystal Palace at the Anfield Stadium, courtesy of Standard Chartered Bank South Africa.

The Aberdare FC, who impressively won the 2019 Standard Chartered Cup 7s aside, will be afforded a VIP treatment by the Bank following their impressive and excellent performance during the 2019 Standard Chartered Soccer Tournament held in Johannesburg in 23 November 2019.

Aberdare Cables CEO, Dr Haiyan Song has lauded the company football club for their outstanding performance in the tournament and for reaffirming that Aberdare is a true nucleus of excellence.

He said sports is one of crucial part of an individual’s growth and development, they help in the development of mental health and physical fitness of the body which is crucial for a human development.

“It is for this reason that Aberdare Cables encourages its employees to participate in sports to improve their physical and mental abilities. Sports also play the important role of imparting character values and can help teach honesty, teamwork and fair play, which is central to our company values”
