Aberdare Cables Host Top ACFIC Delegation

Aberdare Cables Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, Dr Haiyan Song welcomed the All-China Federation of Industry and Commerce (ACFIC) delegation to Aberdare Cables Group Operation Centre in Elandsfontein, Germiston, on Thursday, 25 October 2018.

The delegation led by Vice-Chairman, Mr Wang Yongqing, visited Aberdare Cables, which is owned by Chinese and world leading cable manufacturer, Hengtong Group, as part of the federation’s mission to interact with Chinese owned company
operating abroad.

Established in 1953 the Federation is a people’s organisation comprises of China’s industrialists and businessmen and its primary mandate is to build communication channels between government and the non-public economy and participate in
political consultations of national policies and strategies in politics, economy and social affairs.

The ACFIC delegation visited Aberdare Cables as part of its undertaking to guide its members in technological innovation, management and culture of enhanced competitiveness and capability to achieve sustainable development. During the visit the delegation toured the Elandsfontein plant and interacted with factory workers and managers.

“The visit of the ACFIC was an important occasion for Aberdare Cables as we manage to exchange views in various key segments of the business including issues around information, legal consultation, financing, technology, and HR, and how to resolve the difficulties we are facing as a business.”

“ACFIC is a very important structure as it help build closer relations between Chinese companies and commercial and industrial counterparts overseas. We are excited to host the federation’s delegation led by Mr Yongqing, our interactions and meetings were very successful and productive,” said Dr Song.
