Since its inception in 1994, Indaba has become an essential event for mining professionals, investors, and industry leaders looking to capitalise on the vast opportunities in Africa's mining sector. With a focus on fostering long-term economic growth and sustainability, the event serves as a premier meeting place for networking, deal-making, and discussions on topics such as technological advancements in mining, sustainable mining practices, and investment opportunities in African mining projects. As the event continues to grow in size and influence, it remains a crucial platform for shaping the future of mining on the African continent.
This is an event where mining service companies, equipment providers, and professional service firms can network with key decision-makers, explore potential partnerships, and stay informed on industry trends and developments.
The 2025 leg of the event took place on 3-6 February at the CTICC in Cape Town. Approximately 10, 000 attendees, including around 1,000 potential investors, and 7,000 mining and exploration companies from around 115 countries.

In the year 2025, the theme "Future-Proofing African Mining, Today!" amplifies the important role mining plays in Africa. The sector, if properly utilized, has potential to transform Africa and therefore it should be protected by the continent at large.
